We hired J. Chugg Construction for our kitchen renovation and are pleased to say Jeff and his guys did an excellent job. We now have a beautiful new kitchen that we can really enjoy. We have an older house that used to be a cottage and there have been all kinds of challenges with any renovation we've had done in the past. We wish we'd discovered Jeff earlier in our renovation process because his guys do it all and do it right and it could have made our lives a lot easier. With our kitchen renovation, we had to basically gut the entire kitchen. In the process Jeff uncovered some issues with our exterior wall and the guys rebuilt the wall and spray foamed it before putting up the new drywall. We really appreciated the fact that he didn't just ignore the problem. We had a few other issues that Jeff discovered that had to be addressed right away – attic insulation and dry-rot in a crawlspace beam – and Jeff and his guys were able to take care of these problems for us. We would definitely use J. Chugg Construction for future renovations.

The house I bought was in the right location, was the right size and, I thought, the right price. When the insulation was taken out, immense problems were revealed. Water damage, rot and mold as well as faulty wiring pointed to an extensive renovation.

Before work began, I asked to see the credentials of the general contractor Jeff Chugg, owner of Inso-Tec. His electrician's documentation was clearly displayed on the wall, and upon my questioning I was assured that all of his workers were insured for any injuries that happened on the job as this was important to me. As the work progressed, the site was tidied at the end of every day, and the work areas were always protected to be safe. Where needed, protective clothing was worn and masks were used. I had requested that work would not be done on Sundays, and it was not.

I experienced Jeff as trust worthy and knowledgeable telling me step by step what might work in this house of many challenges, and what it might cost. He knows what new products are available, and knows, too, who to call in for something not in his field, such as resurfacing a bathtub or laying linoleum.

Jeff was conscientious, attentive to detail in all that his workers were doing. He was hard working himself, telling, supervising, advising his crew, and working to keep the project moving. From the beginning of the renovation, work began at 6:30am.

I appreciated Jeff's good judgment about what is appropriate, what makes an orderly and clean look. He works in such a way that he is proud and what he has done as attested in this comfortable and uniquely pretty house

Jeff's cheerfulness and optimism was a gift to me when faced with a 1953 house that had many bad surprises. Undaunted, Jeff would plan, adjust, re-figure and suggest, and he has created a very beautiful house from top to bottom.

Since I have moved in, Jeff has been back to see if there is anything that is of concern, any small thing that needs attention. The house was to be in turn-key condition: it is cleaner, spotlessly shiny, snug against the winter.

From the beginning Jeff listened closely, and he has made this house a gift to live in.

After an inspection of your residence at the above mentioned address, it is my finding that the repairs being completed are equal to, or above standards required to restore this to a safe livable house.

Being in the construction trade myself, and having worked on this house previously, the repairs beingcompleted are necessary.

Chugg Construction, owned and operated by Jeff Chugg, is a competent, capable and respectable business in this area since 1976.
